The Inspiration is armed with twelve phaser arrays located on both dorsal and ventral surfaces. The phaser arrays can land single or multiple beams upon a target in an attempt to damage or destroy the target. In Cruise Mode, all phaser arrays receive their primary power from the warp reaction chamber, with supplementary fusion power from the impulse engine systems. In Separated Flight Mode, the saucer Module is cut off from the mainelectro plasma system and must therefore depend upon increased fusion generator output to provide power to the arrays.

The tactical value of phaser energy at warp velocities is close to none. The photon torpedo was developed to be a warp-capable defensive weapon. Two launcher tubes do the actual firing of the torpedos. One is located forward within the connecting dorsal on Deck 25 and another is located aft above the support pylon wing on Deck 35. Both launchers can be loaded with as many as ten torpedoes at a time for simultaneous launch. All the torpedoes can be ejected from the tube in a single impulse and remain together for approximately 15o meters. At that point, individual control programs assume flight and targeting control for each torpedo, allowing an effective means for simultaneous delivery of torpedos to multiple targets.
