This is the Chief Engineer's Office, located immediately adjacent to the matter/antimatter reaction assembly. It houses smaller scale versions of the displays in Main Engineering. Adjacent to the Chief Engineer's office is a smaller workstation for the duty engineer.
A reinforced optical window allows the Chief Engineer to directly observe the warp core.
